MANOWAR will fulfill their promise to the French Metal Warriors to return to France, as the headliners of Hellfest Open Air 2019 on June 21, 2019 in Clisson, France.

This will be MANOWAR’s final show in France; and it will exclusively feature songs their fans voted for.

Joey DeMaio announced the news to 65,000 fans during an on-stage appearance at this year’s festival and explained that MANOWAR’s performance next year will be a spectacle of might.

“We first played Hellfest in 2009 because the organizers love metal. Now, ten years later the festival has grown into a unique experience of sight and sound.” said Joey DeMaio. “This is the perfect place to fight THE FINAL BATTLE!”

This tour leg includes another first for MANOWAR and their Fans: MANOWAR will play in Longyearbyen, the world’s northernmost settlement in the world! Longyearbyen is located in Svalbard, an archipelago in the arctic ocean, about midway between continental Norway and the North Pole!

“We are ready to return as promised to True Metal Viking territory! They are a hungry for bone crushing, face melting metal, and that is what we will deliver!” said Joey DeMaio. “We are also excited about our first gig in the arctic circle. A polar night there lasts from October to February. We are very sure people will be ready to party when we get there in April. This will be a special event for our fans, and for band and crew alike.”

THE FINAL BATTLE World Tour 2019 will feature FAN FAVORITES ONLY, with a set list based on a voting by MANOWAR’s loyal fans.

“The feedback on the fan voting was overwhelming! Fan Favorites Only!” said Joey DeMaio. “We are in the process of putting together an ass-kicking set that honors our fans and their wishes.”

Q: Joey, what’s happening in MANOWAR world right now?
Joey: A lot! In about 11 months we’ll hit the road again with THE FINAL BATTLE 2019 TOUR. That may seem a lot of time, but it really isn’t. There’s so much going on as we speak. The preparation for this tour and several other exciting projects!

Q: Can you tell us more?
Joey: For one, we just recently asked our fans to vote for their favorite albums and songs to be considered on the set list for this upcoming tour. The feedback was overwhelming! Tons of great suggestions; some expected, others surprising. Many fans even took it upon themselves to put an entire set list together. Thanks to all of you who participated! We are now in the process of putting together an ass-kicking set that honors our fans and their wishes. The motto will be FAN FAVORITES ONLY!

Q: Is there a reason that you are planning your set list already?
Joey: There is! The songs are of course the center of the show, so you can’t start thinking about them too early. But they are also the foundation for the video projections that our Manowarriors loved so much on the last tour. A lot of time and effort goes into creating these custom-made videos.

Q: What else?
Joey: Well, we are also preparing my Spoken Word Tour, where I will tell the History Of MANOWAR. We have a lot of great content already but are still going through our vast audio, video and photo archives. Reviewing all this has triggered so many special memories. It’s going to be an exciting journey through MANOWAR history, that’s for sure!

Q: Anything else happening?
Joey: I’d say that’s a lot already, but yes there is more! We’re working with our brother Ken Kelly on new artwork and last but not least we’ve been busy in the studio!

MANOWAR have confirmed their rescheduled Stuttgart, Germany show and four additional dates in March/April 2019 for their final return to Germany. Read the full announcement HERE.

The set lists for these shows will be based solely on MANOWAR fans voting for their favorite songs from their favorite MANOWAR albums.

Die Nachhol-Show findet nun in der Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle Stuttgart statt; ein Veranstaltungsort mit der Kapazität alle Ticketinhaber beider Original-Termine an einem Abend zu begrüßen.

Alle Original-Tickets und ULTIMATE FAN EXPERIENCE Upgrades der THE FINAL BATTLE Shows, die für 15. und 16. Dezember 2017 terminiert waren, behalten für Freitag, den 5. April 2019 ihre Gültigkeit.

MANOWAR have confirmed Friday, April 5, 2019 as the new date for their Stuttgart, Germany shows originally scheduled for December 15 and December 16, 2017 at Porsche Arena. The show will now take place at Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle Stuttgart, a venue with the capacity to welcome all ticket holders of both original dates in one night.

All original tickets and ULTIMATE FAN EXPERIENCE Upgrades for THE FINAL BATTLE shows previously scheduled for December 15, 2017 and December 16, 2017 will be honored on Friday, April 5, 2019.

“MANOWAR with our promoter Lars Berndt EVENTS were able to secure Stuttgart’s Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle; a place where MANOWAR history was written before and will be written again! This show will be well worth the wait!” said Joey DeMaio.

But that’s not all!

“Since the start of the tour we received countless pleas for additional shows, from fans who could not attend THE FINAL BATTLE World Tour 2017, or fans who were hungry to gather more immortal memories and share the power of true metal with their Brothers and Sisters of Steel.” Joey DeMaio explained. “Our German Manowarriors have stood loyally by us from the beginning, and they deserve another chance for a farewell.”

I want to thank our loyal Manowarriors for their overwhelming support and understanding regarding the two Stuttgart, Germany concerts that need to be rescheduled.

The doctors meanwhile confirmed that I am well enough to fly back to the U.S. in a few days and should be able to ring in the New Year at 100%. That means alcohol and true metal – and lots of it! The same as you all will be doing!

In the meantime our promoter, Lars Berndt Events, is working on securing new dates for Stuttgart.

Hold on to your tickets. We will return to Stuttgart with an ass kicking, ground-shaking show that will be well worth the wait. You don’t want to miss these shows!!

Unfortunately due to food poisoning and dehydration Joey DeMaio is under doctor’s care and has been ordered not to travel or perform at this time.

Therefore the last two shows of the FINAL BATTLE World Tour 2017 will be rescheduled.
